My local society was having a meeting in Gettysburg, and I picked this hotel pretty much because of its reasonable price. The rooms are large and comfy, and the property is in great shape. Easy access to the highway, and a short drive to town made it very convenient. The staff was cheery and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, if a little pricey at $9.95. My only complaint is that the (tiny) bar was closed by 10:00 pm on a Friday. However, to the credit of the management, they allowed us to bring libations in to enjoy in the lounge.

This hotel is very clean, which I expect at a Courtyard. We had the Boyds Bear package offered at this hotel and we felt that the package was worth the extra cost per the room. We received two free full buffet breakfasts per room ($9.95 value each). The breakfast buffet had a very nice selection and the food was good. We received a $20.00 gift certificate at Boyds Bears and a free Boyds Bear. The hotel is decorated with a true Gettysburg - Presidential flair. The hotel is outside the town of Gettysburg so you need to drive and park to the attractions & shops, however the attractions are not all within walking distance so you park and walk, drive and park again and walk anyway. Why stay in the town where the hotels are much older and the noise is constant.

The location is just a quick 8 minute drive from the local sites but well worth the stay. Beautiful rooms (clean as could be) with very comfy beds (had to be brand new). Take advantage of the breakfast option. It's not your typical cereal and bad coffee but a real breakfast.........omlets and make your own waffle and much much more. Our 12 year old (Mr. "I am not hungry") was seen at the table for a full hour while he had his fill. And then just across the driveway two really nice places to eat (one italian and one continental) which after a long day of walking around was so convenient for families - not fancy but good food. And FREE washers and dryers on EVERY floor - a Mom's dream with the rain we had all 3 days we were there. And if you've not had enough.......a movie theatre (8 screens and brand new) just across the other drive way, 10 minute drive to the Herrr's potato chip factory (go on its' just an hour to see it all - and free samples for all) and 50 minute drive to Hershey or Amish country and the outlets. Real close to route 15 so you are really in a great location.
The ONLY down side.........the pool is a little small (OK to the 12 year old it was small) and had WAY too much chlorine for me........my eyes burned from just the air inside the pool area. Otherwise this would have been a perfect 10 for us all...........we will come back for sure.

This is a beautiful new hotel in a good location next to a new theater. Its about 5-10 min. from the visitors center and close to the battlefields. And they have a good breakfast buffet that can be included in your room rate. I would recommend this hotel, it is a great place to stay in a safe location.
