There were several problems with the cleanliness. The coffee pot and filter basket were not cleaned, the bathroom floor was not swept of the sand and the shower curtain was moldy.
A pigeon got into the room and the bird droppings were left behind by the housekeeper.
Our last night at the Marriott Courtyard we were moved to another room wth a kingsize bed and fold out couch. The mattress on the foldout couch was bare and there was a large plate size stain on the upper left side.
The shower curtain in this room was also moldy.
To add insult to injury, after my return home, i received notice that i had been charged $250 to repair the damage from cigarette smoke in the room.

This hotel is on a small island that doesn't seem to get much credit for what it has to offer. The hotel is a great property that sits right on the beach and the staff is always so friendly and accomodating. I think the hotel is about 5 years old, ...

On my arrival the receptionist though speaking politely acted with attitude.I found the prices a little expensive for winter season.Upon entering the room the light switch didnt work,as it turned out no bulb in the outlet for the hallway. The bathroom floor and bathtub had hair on it and I felt the room was poor quality for the price. The television did not work and I had to call for cleaning and the repairman. They did immediately repair the lighting and tv as well as vacume the bathroom floor. They did not clean the tub. They slipped a complimentary breakfast voucher under my door. When I asked upon my arrival about a heated pool I was informed that it was indeed heated,to my surprise it was ice cold when I went for a swim. They also deducted twenty dollars off my bill at this point.Later that evening my daughter went for a stroll and was spit upon from the third floor above the hotel entrance, when reported the secutity did nothing even though my daughter could identify the three young men and the room balcony. Not even a warning was issued. They reduced my bill byten more dollars. Truthfully I have stayed in better more luxurious hotels for less with less trouble. The breakfast area was really nice and the attendants curtious. The food was good.
