We were impressed with the central position of this hotel, just across from City Hall. Indeed the Courtyard was converted from the annex of the historic City Hill Annex in 1999. What you see now is a unique 17 Story, 498 room hotel. The area around the hotel is fairly business orientated with a lot of government offices but it is also near the Avenue of the Arts district and close to the Kimmel Center, with some great restauarants. The hotel is approximately ten miles from Philadelphia International Airport. Local attractions include Betsy Ross House, Franklin Institute, Kimmel Center, Liberty Bell, Philadelphia Zoo, and New Jersey State Aquarium. The hotel was packed with more amenities than we had time to make use of including room service, express check-out, onsite parking (fee), laundry/valet services, babysitting, concierge, gift shop, business center, safe deposit box, indoor pool, exercise room, whirlpool. There's also a restaurant online called Juniper's Restaurant plus the Lobby Lounge & Restaurant. The rooms themselves were also well equipped with work desks, dual-line telephones, voicemail, data ports, high-speed Internet access, cable TVs, in-room movies, coffeemakers, irons, ironing boards, and hairdryers.

When I entered my room it was a very nice room with a view of downtown Philadelphia. The location seemed nice. Its in a corner of downtown almost in the center.
The restaurant for breakfast was awesome. They had any kind of breakfast you could want.
I did not like the pool. I mean it was only 3 feet deep. Thats a little too shallow for me. The hot tub was nice. One of the nicest hot tubs I've been in.
I am not likely
to return to the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown.
I would not recommend it to friends.
