Convenient to Hearst Castle. While the room was clean, the motel was old and tired looking. Not much to choose from on the east side of the highway. While the motel was clean, I would not stay in this location or at this motel again. Desolate with...

Okay
The heated indoor pool, but it was a bit too cold for me.Continental breakfast was muffins. We booked this hotel because we knew our 10 year old son would want to spend a lot of time in the pool. The hot tub was nice, and it was very comfortable.

You definitely get what you pay for. The rooms are nice enough, well decorated and furnished. The carpet could have used a good vacuum. The ocean view rooms are by the busy road, heavy foot traffic and driveway, giving you the feel of staying in a fish bowl. The continental breakfast made me laugh. There is plenty to drink at the breakfast, but make sure you get there right when it starts, because everyone with families (which this inn caters to) will snatch up everything there is to eat. There was no staff to restock, so I assume, once it is gone, it is gone. I have been to many continental breakfasts, but their advertised fare was the most measly I had ever seen. No cereal, no Danish, no toast, just mini muffins and dunking sticks which were cut in half. Yes, you get what you pay for.
