53 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
On a business trip to Myrtle Beach I booked a night at the Country Inn Suites hotel on 501. I jokingly told the checkin clerk that I expected the room to be clean (it was a $200+ room due to heavy tourism that weekend) because the last time I stayed in a hotel in SC a year earlier, I had contracted my first ever in my life case of scabies (I am 53).
Well.. guess what? I got home from the trip and within three days all heck broke loose. I had contracted a full blown case of scabies and if you have ever had scabies.. you know the horror.
Also on that trip the housekeeping staff "accidentally" took a personal reading book from my room when they jumped the gun cleaning the room before I had checked out. Of course no serious effort was made to find the book and I had to buy another.
Don't stay here. You can't see "bedbugs" with the naked eye. I had taken all the precautions: I made sure I always wore bedroom slippers, never sat on the bed or tub without clothes on AND I even brought my own bottle of Clorox to disinfect the tub ...
