My husband and I are moving to the area for his job. We stayed at this hotel for 2 months, long enough to get a good feel of the place. The floor (carpet and bathroom tile) was so dirty that my socks and bare feet would look filthy from walking around the room. I cleaned the bathroom floor myself with a washcloth more than once. They need to shampoo the carpets more often.
The housekeeper kept dropping heavy "hints" about how the guests should tip the housekeepers. One even asked my husband for "bus money". Shouldn't she ask one of the other housekeepers or the management and not one of the guests? This same housekeeper even came to our room the day she was fired (why she was fired, I don't know, but could guess). She complained to us about how the management had mistreated her and how she didn't know what she was going to do for money (hint, hint). My husband and I felt a little intimidated by her. Shouldn't she have left the hotel premises once she was fired and not go to a guest's room? We heard her talking about the termination to another guest in a room next to ours.
Several pieces of our clothing were stained and ruined by the washers and dryers in their guest laundry. They could definitely use better machines. A few of the washers and dryers weren't even leveled and they made a horrible noise and sometimes didn't work at all. The laundry room was too dirty for my taste, lint blobs on the floor and in the dryer screens.
The breakfasts are good, although they don't have the tables set up well for large crowds. We didn't have room to sit in the dining area some mornings.
They do have a nice big TV in there to watch CNN every morning.
The front desk staff were friendly enough. We saw the security guard sitting behind the front desk a few times. We don't know how well he guarded the premises, but we didn't have any break-ins to our cars.
Overall, they gave us a good rate and were responsive to any of our requests. They have free internet which is very good. I just wish the place was cleaner, that's important to me.
