Excellent

Comfortable bed; great shower with plenty of hot water; new fixtures and very clean. The heater/air conditioner was a little confusing at first since there were no directions, but ceiling fan was nice. Not a lot of walking room in the room, but...

It's the worst hotel I have ever stay... – Posted Mar 05, 2007

Horrible
25 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business

Although this hotel is in a great location, had wireless internet, and had a pretty lobby, this was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in.

There are no non-smoking rooms available, so if you have an allergy to cigarette smoke, there is nothing that they can do. When I first entered the room, it was hot, stuffy and the air was thick from cigarette smoke. When I made my reservation and when I checked in, I told the hotel that I had a severe allergy to cigarette smoke. Their solution was spraying my room with Glade. Furthermore, fumes from other smokers came into my room through the bathroom vents.

The rooms were ridiculously small. It took five steps to get from the bathroom to my bed. The bathroom was even smaller. Only one person can fit in the bathroom at a time. The television stations were snowy. There were a group of us and although they booked two beds, they got singles. If your window faces the street, the constant sounds of fire trucks and police sirens will keep you up. There are no screens on the windows. The parking is not across the street from the hotel.

The best part of the trip was that the elevator doors would not close, so there were maintenance men in the elevators forcing the elevator doors closed. The pillows are fluffy, but they are at a weird depth. Most of the people on the trip with me had stiff necks from the pillows.

by a traveler from Bucyrus, OH
22 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The rooms were huge! Everything was so nice. The rooms were always clean! I loved it!

There were always brochures of things to do.

I am very likely to return to the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was clean, but had a very small room. The staff was not especially friendly. It was a great value though.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

First of all, the hotel is adorable-the lobby had...

Mediocre

The Cosmopolitan Hotel is a self-proclaimed "boutique hotel" in the SoHo area of downtown Manhattan. The location is great if you want to be in the SoHo or Tribeca neighborhoods on the cheap. It is clean and generally comfortable for a quick...

All Review Photos The rates now may be slightly higher, but this hotel was one of our best finds. The entrance is so "timid" that you''d miss it unless you knew exactly where it was. One of the greatest joys of living in New York is being able to...
