My friends and I had a very mediocre stay here. THe staff here let one of my friends check in to our room without her for identification of any kind (the reservation was under my name not hers). They only provide the guest with one key, which is an actual key. This made me a little nervous for safety reasons because it seems as though anyone who stayed there could easily make a copy of the key. Also the hotel manager locked our room on the 3rd day we were staying there. When we went to find out what happened the man was extremely rude and told us we needed to give him money and that we cant stay in his hotel for free. When we checked in all they asked for was the deposit and they had my credit card information on file. Why the manager decided to act this way towards us in a lobby packed full of people, I'm not sure. HOwever, the other staff was very nice and the rooms were a decent size. If you're traveling on a budget it's not a bad choice. But don't expect polite treatment here.

The hotel is small which I liked. It seemed cozy. Great location. I liked the little restaurant just outside but my husband wasn't as fond of it. Our room was very clean; bathroom was quite lovely. We could hear a/c from somewhere but not enough to bother us. Perhaps a higher floor would solve that problem - we were on 3rd. Definitely would stay there again.
I am very likely
to return to the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Rooms were very clean, but small. The air conditioner was definately needed, as the room had only one window that opened onto another building two feet away.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
If you're looking for a place to stay that is on the south end of the island, with a subway to uptown right outside the door, this would be a good place.

Place close to GROUND ZERO and BATTERY PARK; This is the place where you can check in and leave all the heavy luggage then proceed to Liberty/Illis Island.

The hotel was great. It's in a great location (the subway is right in front of the hotel); everything is very close; the room was very clean and spacious (for NYC) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely place to stay.

The Cosmpolitan Hotel is very well located for a stay in Lower Manhattan. Our room, 2 full size beds, was just large enough to contain the furniture, our luggage, and room to move around. The 2 stairwells are quicker than the single 6 passenger el
pros: starbucks & convenient store downstairs! The staff was very friendly, we had a spacious (spacious for NYC hotel rooms) 5 person room and our total for 5 nights was around $1,349. There were built in drawers and cabinets for all of our stuff....

Excellent
Comfortable bed; great shower with plenty of hot water; new fixtures and very clean. The heater/air conditioner was a little confusing at first since there were no directions, but ceiling fan was nice. Not a lot of walking room in the room, but...
