Good
39 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

This is a great place for Cape Cod family vacation. Nothing fancy, but above the expectations of ye olde cape motel in several respects. Being from Boston, and having grown up vacationing on the Cape, it is a sweetly nostalgic experience to go somewhere that still feels like "Old Cape" without feeling very run down, tired, and moldy at the same time. The rooms (at least the ones we had, they do offer suites/townhouses/rental homes that are probably somewhat more luxurious) are plain but clean, comfortable, and serviceable. We found the pool area to be clean, pretty, well laid out, and in nice proximity to the beach. The kids had fun with the shuffleboard. The hot tub is lovely, seems well cared-for, and is actually HOT, which is sometimes lacking in hotels. Strictly speaking, we prefer the whiter/softer sands and less seaweedy beaches of the north side/Cape Cod Bay, but there are not family-friendly larger scale motel choices such as this in that area, and there is certainly more choices in terms of things to do/restaurants/walkability, etc. on the "south side". Those beaches can easily be accessed with a short drive and paying of the parking fee. The beach area at the hotel was not super crowded during our visit, which was nice. We were impressed with the upkeep of the facilitates, frequently noticing areas being scrubbed clean and maintained. My sister had a minor problem with drainage in her kitchenettes sink, and it was attended to promptly and effectively. I didn't fine the front desk crew particularly attentive or friendly upon check-in, but I changed my mind after several routine visits to the front desk for questions and this and that. It does seem that much of the crew is foreign (Jamaica, Russia (?), a Canadian flag flies in front), which adds interest. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, if you are familiar with Cape style accommodations and understand what you will be getting.
