THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL IN THE BOOK SO FAR FOR ME.....IT WAS DIRTY AND SMELLED HORRIBLE...I HAD TO TAKE MY FAMILY TO ANOTHER HOTEL AFTER BEING IN THE ROOM FOR ONLY 2 HOURS... I HOPE THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHUT THEM DOWN...PLEASE IF YOU VALUE YOUR...
We stayed for four days in March 2008. We were able to access public transportation, the beach, restaurants, and stores within walking distance from the motel. We had kitchenettes in our rooms which made the Safeway store down the block very...
The central location is convenient for me as a business traveler between SFO, Walnut Creek and Palo Alto. The McService is everything you'd expect and less. Upon seeing the room number I immediately asked if there was another, before any of the...

The rooms were filthy the hotel hospitality was a big fat zero and the charges applied to my credit card were ridiculous! We had extra charges applied to our credit card for miscellaneous purchases? they don't have a gift shop so what is this? when you call to ask they hang up on you and if you persist on getting an answer they just no longer answer the phone. what kind of way is this to run a business. oh!!! never take the "upgrade" to be by the pond, it smells like raw sewage, stagnant water, and there is a bum that lives under the balcony, his cardboard "bed" and fishing pole and tackle box is there!! as the title says: the dumpsters are better and the stinky pond has more personality than the hotel "family" that runs the place!

Upon entering the lobby area it was infested with flies everywhere! Seriously! I looked at my husband and thought we would make the best of it~ Before we had arrived we reserved our rooms with Coral Reef Inn, and requested 2 rooms next to each other~ When we received our room keys the rooms were clear across the entire property! We have children and they needed to be close to us even though they were staying with their grandparents in a separate room. The hotel would not get us rooms near each other without us paying a room upgrade!!! I thought this was terrible customer service as it was guaranteed when we booked it, but when we arrived they just said sorry~ we don't have any left near each other. Anyway, the rooms were not very clean, and we had to request towels several times after our room had been cleaned. The cable does not come in very well, and the internet/Ethernet was down the whole time we were there? (of course they do not care when you would call!) I was so happy when it was time to checkout and go home! However, they would not provide us with a receipt upon checkout? My husband kept insisting on a receipt, but they would not give us one!~ When we got home to review our credit card charges it was very apparent why they would not give us a receipt! They are very dishonest as we were charged more than our initial quote, AND they charged us another charge for "misc. goods" ! When I called to ask about this the manager would not discuss this with me? I asked what the additional misc. goods were and he hung up~ I contacted our credit card company and this is currently under dispute, but I don't think we will win as they, the Coral Reef Inn produced a fake UNSIGNED receipt to our credit card company? DON"T STAY HERE! You will have a much better stay if you just stay in a local dumpster!
I decided on this Inn based on location to Oakland airport, thought I'd give myself a treat with the lagoon suite. I was very disappointed. The "old house" smell was so overpowering, it smelled like granny's old musty house. The silverware was...

Excellent
Nice pool, excellent service, great location. 10 minutes from Oakland Airport, overlooking a lagoon and across the street from the beach. Room was newish and came with kitchenette. The one problem: wi-fi that did not work.
After getting the run around from several hotels I usually stay at I was happy to come across this hotel. They were very accomodating with my last minute reservation. The staff couldn't be nicer. They went out of there way to assist me with...
