Located in the heart of Historic Cape May, Congress Hall is across the street from the beach and two miles from the Cape May Point Lighthouse. This landmark hotel recently completed a long and careful renovation, creating a modern facility within a 19th century building. With its colonnaded front overlooking expansive lawns and the ocean, this L-shaped hotel enjoys a prominent location along the strand. Guests have access to an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), spa services, and fitness equipment. Congress Hall provides a restaurant serving bistro-style American cuisine and a Manhattan-style jazz and blues lounge (seasonal). Congress Hall offers 104 guest rooms, all of which feature one queen bed or two double beds, complimentary newspapers, and turndown service. Beds are dressed up in 300 thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a down comforter. The room décor is light and airy. Congress Hall is a good choice for easy beach access and accommodation in a traditional seaside hotel.

Good
The ocean view rooms are beautiful. The prices can be a little high but you just need to shop around for a good rate, they are out there. The rooms are of good size as are the bathrooms and the hotel is so close to the beach it is amazing.
We loved everything about The Congress Hall. Clean, elegant, simple, great sheets. The staff was lovely and accomodating and the Blue Pig Tavern was a great alternative to trying to find a table at one of Cape Mays seafood houses. Hotel was a bit...

We did not stay at the Hotel, but ate at the Blue Pig tavern. The service was subpar and the food was overcooked and blah. The menu on the tourist guide is out of date, along with the prices. I would take a pass on this place and spend my monet...

53 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We loved the hotel the moment we pulled up to it. I booked it on-line and we were very pleased.
The hotel has a historic elegance though modern in it's renovations. They have Aveda toiletries, clean rooms, and a clean lobby. I had a wonderful mattress, pillow and linens. They smelled crisp and clean. We were so pleased with this hotel that we can't wait to visit again. I've never taken the time to rate a hotel before.
I LOVED everything about the hotel - from the first view to the clean room and crisp smelling bed linens, the Aveda toiletries, the friendly staff, the location and the price. Found it on-line and it's been the only hotel I've ever taken...

We stayed last year and enjoyed it, but only after being given a room after attempts were made to give us rooms which had wet carpets and leaky ceilings. This year we said no wet rooms. However, that's what we got. We were told they had no options. ...
