When we arrived at the conch house we expected it to be decent but it was the total opposite. When we got to the room it was disgusting and it smelled horrible and it was dirty. We complained and we got a "better" room for more money but it wasn't e

Horrible
I would not recommend this hotel for a dog. Nasty and Dirty is only a nice description of this hotel. When my family and I walked into the room, we had to step back a few step because of the smell and the amount of dirt on the floor. The carpet was...

Excellent
Can't say enough about this restaurant, and the one in St. Augustine. Always great food selection and pleasant servers. Many others seem to know this also because there is always a crowd. But, that adds to the atmosphere, and seating is made...

The hotel location was perfect, in the heart of everything desired in Daytona Beach. The hotel was located directly on the beach with easy access. The hotel room appeared to be very old. The room cleanliness was awful. At check in, there were food crumbs on the carpet, coffee cup rings on top of the dresser, used shampoo bottle cap left in the shower and unmentionable uncleanliness on the bathroom sink. The beds sheets were not tucked in, but simply draped over the mattresses of both beds. There was noticeable mold and mildew on the bathroom ceiling. We did not want to walk around the room without shoes on. The complimentary coffee maker did not work. The first morning we were there, we attempted to shower, but there was no hot water. The front desk staff said the hard rain the previous night killed the pilot light on the hot water heater located below the building. Hot water was available that night. The hotel is very old and in desperate need of updating, as well as of a proper house cleaning staff. I did not use pool, but the pool area, which must be passed through to access beach, was covered in sand. It was not clean or presentable at all.
They had a very friendly and helpful front desk staff.
I am not likely
to return to the Conch House.
I would not recommend it to friends.
The location was good, but the hotel was dirty and there were broken drawers and lights that did not work. There was not a feeling of security @ the hotel, also.
we stayed there last summer for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay we have 2 children and we were able to get a room with 3 beds for a really good price. we liked the view. overall we liked the place although it is nothing fancy it was good for a family...

The first room we were given was dirty and had a bad smell. The second room was liveable considering the only thing we did there was sleep. I will not be staying there again nor will I refer them to my friends.
