Used 20,000 Choice Privelege Points to book stay at this hotel to take my 12 year old daughter to a concert at the nearby pavillion. 9am the morning of the show, I received an email from Ticketmaster indicating that the show was cancelled.
I immediately called the hotel to cancel but was told that they would hold my room and not refund my points to my account because they required that I cancel by 4pm the previous day. I advised them that this situation was beyond my control and I felt that it was very unreasonable to expect somebody to drive 2 hours to their hotel when the concert was cancelled.
I called Choice Hotel's corporate office and they also called the location, but once again, they were denied the ability to credit my points.
