Good
While intending to stay just 1 night, I ended up staying 3 due to a last minute change in plans. The hotel was fine, with great access from very close I-5 (which is hidden by topograpghy and thus there is no noise issue). The staff were competent...

Good
Wireless network in room was a great feature.Orientation of nearby roads made it difficult to enter/exit the hotel. The Comfort suites provided a great overall stay. The in room microwave and fridge were great for keeping the kid's milk and supplies ...

It has a good location and excellent facilities. It has a reasonable price, a good morning cup of coffee, and breakfast. I appreciated the local paper. They have friendly service.
I am very likely
to return to the Comfort Suites Southwest.
I might recommend it to friends.
I've read the other reviews and would like to clarify some things.
Their beds are wonderful, I asked if they got new beds and the staff said No, we added mattress toppers and I guess all the Comfort Suites did. What a difference that made, it was very comfortable!
And this hotel is not in a bad part of town, its in SW Portland near Tigard, which is considered a suburb of Portland. It's a few miles away to Downtown and a few miles to the OHSU hospital, where I needed to be. There are nice restaurants nearby and a great shopping mall nearby too!

I loved this place. They have wonderful beds and pillows. Its conveniently located near shopping and places to eat and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was in town on business and I wanted a Comfort Suites (for Choice Rewards of course) that wasn't downtown, but close enough that I could be there quickly. This property offered all the comforts of home plus the comforts of a good hotel: helpful front desk, quiet, and convenient.
I was there for four days, and like most business travelers you spend the first few hours getting your bearings. The front desk suggested a great seafood restaurant that was just a couple miles down the road the hotel was on. Then there was a shopping center nearby for late night snacks and beverages. (I don't buy hotel soda if there's a grocery store near by.)
I have a good sense of direction so I felt right at home commuting about 10 miles to the city's center. Other people, however, might find travel to and from this hotel a little daunting or confusing.
If I'm ever in Portland again I'll return to these comfortable suites.
