Nice and new. This was a very nice and clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The front desk (especially Cassandra)gave me all the assistance I needed with a smile:-)It was a pleasure to stay at this new hotel. What you see on the website is what you get at the hotel. The drive to Historic Savannah and the Airport was simple and reasonably close. The pool is small but serves its purpose. You will definitely feel safe with all the cameras around.

Good points: The location, decor, and the indoor pool/hot spa combo were all great. But upon closer inspection we found cracked walls, crown moldings cracked and falling, door issues, and dry paint splattered everywhere.

We discovered upon leaving our room to go swimming that our door didn't totally shut, therefore it would not lock. We advised the front desk and were moved to another room with same problem. We were moved again to a room that locked. The vending machines were out of order. The shower handle fell off during my wife's shower.

Note: The hotel has a full refund guarantee, but does not honor it. Even after our vacation, several phone calls to the hotel were met by a very rude and uncooperative desk clerk that wouldn't even give out manager's or owner's name so I could write a letter. It took direct contact with Choice Hotels International to remedy the issue. Only then did I get a letter from the hotel blaming issues on building settlement and contractor workmanship, along with only a partial refund. I contacted Choice Hotels International and they sent an additional refund in form of coupons to use in the future.

I would be willing to stay in this hotel again, but only after checking the room first.
