The lobby and hallways are beautiful and the rooms at first glance are great, however that is where it ends. The air conditioner did not work properly; the room was warm and stuffy. Mold on the ceilings, the bathroom fixtures were old and pitted, cracks and gaps in the caulking. Most important the sanitation grade is 90.5%. I will not eat in and establishment with that grade and had I not needed a place to stay due to construction in my home, I would not have stayed there. I am from this city and will no longer recommend this hotel. The Hampton is just as nice, cleaner and cheaper.

I spent one night here to attend a night-time event in the New Bern Convention Center. The staff was very proficient and friendly, the room was clean and well organized, and the location on the water was easy to find with a great view out the window....

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. They have a wonderful evening hospitality reception. The front desk isn’t as friendly as I would expect from this town.
