Comfort Suites Portage - Page 1

We stayed for three nights on a WI Dells trip. The hotel is located 15-20 min. from the Dells. This may not seem like a long drive but when you are tired after a long day this can be a very long trip back to the hotel.

The hotel has a nice Northwood's themed lobby. They have a very large pool with two hot tubs. We had a two room king suite. It was large, clean and had nice furniture. The second day our room was not cleaned. Trash was left overflowing, the bathroom was not cleaned, beds not made, towels & shampoo/soap not replenished. The worse thing was that a bag of salt water taffy & fudge was missing from our room after it was "cleaned". The rooms may look nice but they have serious service problems. I would never stay here again.

The personnel were very friendly throughout the hotel. There was a free shuttle service to downtown Milwaukee, although it is within easy walking distance. We had a lovely view of Lake Michigan from our room.

This hotel made me feel content: Check in was easy, check out was easy, and there was easy elevator access to our room. There was lots of reading material available in the lobby. They had a staff that was knowledgeable about Milwaukee.

They had a great manager but unorganized housekeeping.

It's a great hotel with a great manager.
