The lady at the service desk was very unpleasant and not friendly at all. After checking in at 5:00 pm, we went straight to our room.
We were shocked when we approached our room and found the door propped open by a trash can. We had notice that several rooms were this way. We went ahead and entered the room. We were stunned to see that our room was not fully clean. Everything was pretty well clean, but the floors had not been vacuumed. I immediately went back to the front desk to report this. As I approached the desk, the lady said, "What is your room not clean?" What the heck? If she knew our room could possibly not be clean, why did she not inform us about this at check-in? She told me it would be about 15 minutes before the room would be cleaned. So, I returned to my room and my family and I waited over 30 minutes! No one ever came to clean the room.
In the meantime, I walked into the restroom and it appeared to be clean, but the seat to the toilet had been missed, it had poop all over it! I was furious at this point. My family and I left and let the front desk know. We returned a few hours later and the room was clean, thank goodness.
The lady at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. She refused to give me a pillow for my child when I asked for one. She told me the pillow limit for my room at been met. I did not understand that, I was in a room that had a max occupancy of 4 and there were 4 of us in the room. I kept trying to tell her that the math did not add up, how can 3 pillows equal 4 people? I have tried to communicate these issues to the management, and they were only willing to give me $10 off the day of check-out and later sent me a letter saying I could save 15% on my next visit and that the "mechanical failures" had been resolved. What? What mechanical failures, it was the staff and the cleanliness I had issues with, not mechanical failures.
Needless to say, I will not stay at this hotel again.
