I represent an IT firm that is doing business in the area. I was personally responsible for scoping out a hotel for our contingent to stay at in this area. After communicating with management, we negotiated excellent rates for off season. The roo
1) Owners/Management - At first they appear nice but then you realize they are in your face all the time! It is "their hotel and don't forget it!" I swear they were following us around.

Here is a breakdown of our experience:
1) Owners/Management - At first they appear nice but then you realize they are in your face all the time! It is "their hotel and don't forget it!" I swear they were following us around.
2) Room - Clean and nice. Sofa couch not the greatest though. My childs back ached after our stay. No place to change other then the bathroom. Could use a privacy curtain. Staff cleaning the rooms were pleasant and sincerely friendly - "Owners" should take a lesson from them!
3) No Smoking Policy is joke. You choke coming in either the front or back entrances because that is where the guests and staff hangout for a butt or two!
4) So-called "Free" Breakfast - They run it like the military so if you are into that fine - if not STAY AWAY! Their feeling is they are doing you some sort of big favor. I say get rid of the "free" breakfast and lower the rates! Lady taking your "reservation" to be seated is way too loud. Everybody knows all about her sick husband???? You can hear her EVERYWHERE throughout the lobby. Tall skinny women (we were told she is the owner?) is rude and obnoxious! The seats are so close together you cannot breathe. Waffles were good but why would you want them every day??? Scrambled eggs were watery and on the cold side. Do not know if they were real. No Bananas? I never thought bacon could be sliced that thin. Summary, I ate their 2 out of 5 mornings - after that I went somewhere else. So much for "Free"! Other hotels offer breakfast that is just as good if not better and you can seat yourself!
5) Computer - You better bring your own laptop because they really do not want you to use theirs! The room where the computer was is ALWAYS locked. So much for looking up directions, etc. etc. Supposedly kids were viewing porn???? I say they load on some software to take care of that or better yet move the computer to a lobby in full view of everyone - duh!!!! That is how other hotels do it.
6) Pool - Water in pool not heated - it was way to too cold! Strong chlorine smell. Hot tub water looked green - YUCK! Bathroom was dirty. Pool area was too dark. At least two lights were burned out or turned off. Towels too small. Also this entire area is in the Land of NO! NO eating, NO drinking, NO handstands in pool, NO sliding on stomach down the slide, at least three signs saying NO horseplay??, what exactly is that? a little more specific please!!! Also expect to be spyed on CONSTANTLY (they peek in through
the door window and exercise window, have two cameras on the walls) especially if you are a person of color and/or between the ages of 8 - 18. Hard to believe but we saw this FIRST hand! This is all in the name of "safety" If they are that concerned then they should hire a certified lifegurard.
7) 24 Hour Coffee - This is for you as long as you like your coffee, cold and with out milk and serving yourself in a dark room...
Our summary - You can't tell a book by it's cover! Don't be fooled by how "nice" this place looks. We will not be staying here again...

The Better Business Bureau needs to be informed of this hotels practices of profiling and discrimination. Never have I been more offended in my life. The other review of this hotel says it all. This is a beautiful hotel, but the execution of business practices is frightening. This is the business of hospitality, and this hotel is not hospitable AT ALL!

I have never been to a hotel where the staff is such a poor judge of character. We went to the hotel with 3 other families all with small children and got adjoining rooms. It was New Years Eve, and told them up front we were coming to revel in 2008.
Within ½ an our of arrival the owner, Michael Stark, told us that he did not want any trouble and he was concerned when families get together. It turns out the only trouble came from Mike. We were followed throughout the hotel. He harassed my 15-year-old niece because he found gum on the floor somewhere in the hotel and she was chewing gum! It seemed like Mike was out to get us, and complained when we brought a cup into the pool area. We talk with other families that felt the same as we did.
My brother in law confronted him and told him to give us our $$ back and we would leave. But he would not part with is $$. Mike ruined the New Year by coming to our adjoining room and told us not to gather at 11:45PM! Why rent adjoining rooms if you do not want people to be there? Why not offer a place to gather?
The hotel in nice, clean and well cared for; the management is terrible. We went there looking for a memorable time and left with something to talk about!
