This is the ONLY place I stay when I travel to Chincoteague. My room is always ready for me. The front desk and the entire staff are always pleasant and courteous and they go above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

I stayed here in early spring, and didn't have such a great stay. There was some problem with the room - I can't really remember, perhaps the plumbing, and I was asked to move to another room on the second day. Big deal, these things happen. The next night, it got chilly in my room, so I turned on the heat. Within about 2 minutes, the room was permeated with the smell of burining HAIR, and the smoke alarm went off. This alarm was loud enough to wake people in next HOTEL - but no one came to check on things. I had to open the door to clear the smoky smell out of the room. When I told the front desk what had happened the next day, the clerk behaved as if I had been lying. Too bad I didn't call the desk while the alarm was going off, I suppose. She finally took about 30 dollars off the bill. Next time, I'll stay next door at the Hampton Inn - they treat you like a guest.

We love the charm of the village on the island. This hotel setting is on the Bay with all amenities, and the interior charm matches that of the exterior. The only reason we didn't rate this a ten, was that breakfast although fresh/hot was not as extensive a selection as we've had in past years elsewhere, but still good. Our 3 year old is mesmerized by the activity on the Bay. He's on the deck off the bedroom watching: turtles; duck family; jellyfish; boats; gulls; etc... We love the island & would definitely come back to this hotel.

This was a nice hotel, with a friendly and professional staff. The location was good and it had a beautiful view. If I went back to Chincoteague, I would stay at this hotel.

The staff was very courteous and they went out of their way to greet you. They were also always available to answer any questions about the town and available tours that had nothing to do with the hotel.

The breakfast was large with a lot of selections including hot foods.Can't say a thing bad, I was very happy. The hotel was very conveniently located, just a short walk into town and to shops, restaurants. They were very accommodating. We got there...

It has a fantastic staff but poor laundry facilities.

The house cleaning personnel were understanding about weird schedules and the front desk staff treated us with respect and professionalism.
