All rooms feature a private balcony overlooking the beautiful Pigeon River with a mountain view. Amenities include microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and hair dryer. The Comfort Inn serves deluxe continental breakfast featuring hot fresh waffles with a variety of pastries, fruit and cereal. There is an outdoor seasonal pool. The Comfort Inn is located one half mile from downtown Gatlinburg and Ripleys Aquarium. A trolley stop is adjacent to hotel. Fireplaces in the K1 and NK1 room types are operational 1 October through 31 March annually.

It was in a good central location, convenient to attractions. The price was good and the room was clean. It was a little noisy because it is so close to the main road.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Comfort Inn on the River.
I might recommend it to friends.

Horrible
This hotel was a waste of time and money. The bathroom is too small; it was unclean - toliet would not flush and tub has toliet paper scraps in it. Staff was friendly but I would not stay again.

I called for a reservation and was greeted nicely. I asked if it was winthin walking distance to the downtown shops and was told it was. However, that's not true, unless you like to the long 3 mile hike to downtown. The desk clerk was rude, the room ...
