We had a big, clean two-queen room with a fridge and microwave, and the price was right, but we won't be staying here again.
Reasons for our poor rating:
(1) Unacceptable highway noise. I-15 is very close, and the traffic never stops. The quality of the doors and windows was not adequate to keep the noise level in our rooms at anywhere near an acceptable level. This applied particularly to our third floor non-smoking rooms on the north side of the property, but would likely apply to almost all rooms.
(2) Their unkind staff. The attitude of the front desk guy was somewhere between indifferent and actively hostile. If you accidentally choke in his presence, don't expect him to perform the Heimlich maneuver, at least not if there is an interesting re-run playing on his TV.
(3) Poor cleanliness in the laundry room. Also: No chair, and prices for supplies double what we have paid elsewhere.
Slightly positive aspects:
(1) Good choice of food franchises along the Jefferson Avenue strip.
(2) In-room wireless internet access was solid. There also appeared to be a guest-accessible desktop in the lobby, but we didn’t try it.
I’m now signing off at 3:00 a.m., fully awake due to the traffic noise. We won't be sampling the breakfast, we just want to escape as soon as possible from this hotel and the infernal traffic racket.
