comfort inn has had many wonderful locations: clean, good staff, etc. except in Kerrville texas! I reported a fire (alarm went off at 2:30 in am) that started in the new air conditioner unit; i was moved and in bed by 3:25 am. the next morning, the asst manager sounded as if i had made the whole thing up! what a jerk; if for some reason this room #215 kills someone because of a fire, it would be sick.

I just returned from a one night stay here. My one stay can be summed up in one word, ‘bugged.' I retired late after returning from a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and I was awakened by itching on my arms. A search of the bed sheets revealed a crawling bed bug. I called the front desk and was given a room change. The second room proved no better than the first. You guessed it, another, larger, bed bug. The only reason I did not check out immediately was that it was the middle of the night.

Suffice it to say that I did not get any sleep. I informed the desk clerk that I would not be paying for the ' service' and I was told that the hotel would not charge me the night. Upon check out I attempted to discuss my experience and find out if there was a history of similar complaints, the clerk's reply was 'I made a note of it, and we didn’t charge you for the room.' I plan to make a formal complaint to Choice Hotels, Inc., Comfort Inn's parent company and other appropriate agencies.

We booked a non-smoking room with two queen beds, we were given a smoking room with one bed and when I went to call the front desk, the phone did not work. At the desk I was told they did not have any non-smoking rooms with two beds, so we had to take a smoking room. In this room the lamp was broken, the carpet was all wet around the mini-frig, and there was a big crack in the ceiling. Also, it was very difficult to access their parking, I had to go around the dumpster where there was old furniture/mattresses lying there. The staff was very rude and indignant, they did not care about fixing any of the problems at all. I paid $325.00 for two weeknights, I would have been better off paying a little extra and staying somewhere that would not have ruined our trip.

The hotel's location was very convenient to interstates and to Hollywood Boulevard and Mann's Theatre (a five-minute walk). The continental breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean.
