We stayed here because it was convenient to the places we wanted to visit.

The good: The location. It's across the street from Springfield Mall and about a mile from the Metro station. You can stay here and use the Metro to see Washington D.C. without fighting downtown traffic. There were a lot of television channels, including 4 premium ones. Free Wi-Fi.

The bad: Upon entering the room, the first thing that greeted us was stained carpet by the door. The bathroom is oddly configured, with a low toilet shoehorned between the sink and the tub. The bed was OK, but not great. They charge a $1.50 "security fee," which is added to your bill even if you don't use the room safe. I didn't notice it until after I left, but apparently they will remove it if you ask. I didn't bother, since it was such a small amount, which I'm sure is what they're counting on.

Overall, it is a pretty standard Comfort Inn.

It was fine. It was pretty much like any other hotel.

For our purposes this hotel was very conveniently located. It was rather new and clean. The desk clerk pleasantly exchanged our room for a non-smoking room. They had a nice continental breakfast.

We had fun staying at this hotel.

This hotel provides courteous, comfortable, and practical lodging. I have stayed there for four years during conferences in Springfield.
