Shops, restaurants, golf and movies within walking distance. Historic Jacksonville, Ashland, Shakespearean Festival and skiing a short drive away. High-speed Internet access in all rooms. Hotel is replacing all the tile in the lobby/reception area. The main entrance may be closed periodically between March 25th to April 4th. The elevator will be out of order on March 30th and 31st.

Whenever we visit family in the Medford area, we always stay at this hotel.
The good: The pillow top beds are very nice and comfortable. Since we spend little time in most hotels, except to sleep, bed comfort is a high priority for us. The location is convenient to almost anywhere you want to go in the area. There is a Harry and David store next door. We had an end room, so it was quiet. Decent free breakfast selection.
The bad: No free WiFi (at least that we could figure out). The card in the room said there was free WiFi, but the password provided didn't work. We asked the desk clerk about accessing the system, but she said "what's WiFi?" She did offer to have the manager talk to us in the morning, but we were only staying one night. Stained carpet in the elevator.
Overall, you could do a lot worse than staying here.

My room was not ready when I arrived, so the clerk upgraded me to a larger room at the same price. They gave me directions to two places I wanted to find.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Comfort Inn South.

Mediocre
Pool was closed, fitness room was closed, (being repaired) breakfast was poor. I chose this motel for the pool and fitness room, then neither were able to be used.
