I had specifically asked for a first floor room close to the front desk as I have difficulty ambulating long distances. When I arrived to check in, none of my instructions to the travel agent in Texas had been given to the employees at the hotel itself. When I mentioned these facts to the check in employee, she was immediately apologetic and she did everything she could to accommodate me. When I checked out, they gave me a reduced rate because of my inconvenience. That was another example of great customer service!
I am very likely
to return to the Comfort Inn South.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I stayed in Comfort Inn for 10 days. It was within a short distance to my grandparent's house and made for easy access, not to mention the abundance of eateries within driving distance.
The inn was very nice for having been built in the mid-80's and just a little worn down, the furniture in my non-smoking room looked relatively new, as did the carpet. The bed was heaven to sleep in; a king-sized mattress from Serta, it was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel, in my opinion. The linens looked fresh and fairly new and the comforter and pillows were very nice. I had no problems with my room at any time though I heard others as they were checking out mention their tubs; one had a draining problem, the other had leaks, but the help staff assured them they would take care of these problems.
The continental breakfast was the best I've ever seen offered for free as a part of the price of your stay. They had real scrambled egg medallions, real sausage medallions, buscuits and country gravy with nice big chunks of real sausage. They had a waffle iron with waffle batter, butter/spread and syrup, both sugarfree and regular. They had fresh fruit; oranges, apples and bananas. There were boiled eggs, different muffins and breads, various cereals, skim and 2% milk, orange juice, apple juice and coffee. On weekdays they offered yoplait yogurt, assorted flavors, and on weekends, canned fruit.
The staff were always friendly to me as was the breakfast staff. The cleaning staff did not speak english well or at all but they were also very nice.

I did not like the comments in the bathroom, stating the cost of everything in the room and that it would be audited and anything missing would automatically be billed to the room charge card.

Excellent
This hotel was a great value for it's price. The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. The breakfest was nice and it also looked recently renovated.

Horrible
This is the nastiest hotel I've even been in. We arrived late and tired or we would have left. Dirty floors & bathroom, blood on back of comforter, old chair torn and iron burn mark, terrible service. Misdc body hairs left from prev renter, I ...
