We have stayed at this hotel 5 years for New Years Eve. As always the rooms are clean & the staff is friendly. Rooms are newly remodeled this year. You cannot get a better deal.
This hotel is a nasty place to deal with. I live in Florida and I was suppose to go there September 2 to 5 2008. I called on August 30 to cancel because of Hurricane Fay and the man who answered was nasty and didnt cancel me as he said he would. I g

The hotel had a beautiful view of the river and was in a quaint area of the city.The hotel is still under Renovations and the staff was not very friendly. We asked for non-smoking but were given a smelly room at first. Second room smelled fine and...
Location is great if you have business in downtown Harrisburg. However, do note that the Riverfront is a gathering place for the homeless. If you have to walk late at night, do so with a buddy.

It was Memorial Day weekend, we were attending basketball tournament in Hershey with 53 teams, and Hershey Park is 15 minutes away. Local hotels were completely booked. The hotel is in the process of being renovated. The room we were given was not finished. No alarm clock, Keys didn't work... Among other things. Afternoon staff was not very friendly or helpful. Evening and overnight staff extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of Susquehanna River. It will probably be a nice place to stay, after renovations are complete.
