Comfort Inn North Gibsonia Hotel

This Comfort Inn was walking distance from a family event being held at the local fire hall. We made the reservation at 10:30 PM the night before we were to arrive. Our plans changed and we called back at 9:15 AM the next morning to cancel. We were told that our reservation could not be cancelled becasue they have a 24 cancellation policy. When I complained that we had not been told about their cancellation policy when we made the reservation, they claimed THEIR computer said the we had been informed. I wish I had read the reviews on this place before I made a reservation because 5 out of 6 complained about bad management and poor customer servive. Add unethical to list. Stay at the Gibsonia Comfort Inn at your own risk.

Our reservations were wrong and we were told it was our word against what was on the computer. We made the reservations directly through the hotel and given comformation numbers. Our family was there to attend a wedding, 2 of our family members are handicapped and needed a room with a refrigerator to store their medications and seperate beds to enable them to get in and out easily. It took me calling my sister back in Pittsburgh to call the front desk and get us this room. The front desk worker was rude and obnoxious. While in our room one of the kids found a empty glass bottle under the bed. The only vending machine was broke. And our phone was not working. At check out I refused to sign my reciept and was told I could not have it unless I did by the same worker at check in, her co-worker informed her to give it to me. I would not ever return to a comfort inn nor refer it.

The suite we got was very nice, a perfect set up for two adults and one child. The bathroom was a bit small, but functional. The in-room DVD player was a nice feature, but instructions on how to use it would have been nice. We did eventually figure it out, but it took a bit of doing.
