Comfort Inn New York Hotel

Yay for an affordable AND clean hotel in this neighborhood! For a Saturday night stay a few blocks from Times Square, this hotel cannot be beat! The staff was nothing but courteous, smiling and helpful (thank you Willie, in particular!); the room was Manhattan size (ie. small!) but beautifully furnished and spotless. We even had a most positive experience checking our bags for the day following our check-out so that we didn't have to drag them around the city until we left later that afternoon. I can't say enough...definitely two thumbs up!

I like the price, the location, the convenience, the continental breakfast, the ease of check in and check out, the friendliness of the staff, the proximity to Grand Central and to the subway. There are no negatives! It is not luxury and it does not have to be. It is comfortable!

I loved the location and price. I will definitely be back!

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It was cleaner than expected and the location was great.

The biggest dislike was that they did not provide bellhop service upon check out due to being understaffed. Since it was a promised service, it was very inconvenient to have to carry my own luggage down from the twelfth floor without assistance.

When trying to find the hotel I had to call three times and finally was told by someone passing by where it was located. When checking in I was not told that a credit card would be charged at that time and we would have to check in again by a certain time if we were staying. The building may have been old but care should be taken in cleaning mold from the towels and tub.
