We called on Friday, Aug 3rd to reserve a room for Saturday, Aug4 . The room was confirmed and pre-paid for. We arrived Saturday, Aug 4th at 7:30PM and were told that our reservation had been cancelled. We had not cancelled, but it showed as cancelled. We ask who cancelled (since it wasn’t us, when it was cancelled and why it was cancelled). The person at the front desk was extremely rude and just kept saying “cancelled” and not giving us a reason why. He said there were rooms available for $109 cash, but would not honor the reservatin agreement made the previous day – and we had already paid. After I returned to the car furious, my husband went back into the office and stood in the line of the lady instead of the guy. She also said it was cancelled and then said it was automatically cancelled at 4:00 by the hotel because we had not called in to confirm. But we had a confirmation number AND PRE-PAID for the room, so in my opinion the room was fully confirmed. Then the guy came back over and pointed to something on the screen and just kept saying cancelled and refused to rent us a room, even though others in line, without reservations were able to rent the same types of rooms. In my personal opinion, they were closed to being booked and wanted us to pay more for the room instead of honoring the reservation made the previous day. Needless to say, we left and did not pay more for the room. We will not return to this hotel and will always place Comfort Inns LAST on our list of places to go to in other cities.
