Comfort Inn Mineral Point Hotel - Page 1

I know that this is a clean, nice hotel, which is great since it's the only mainstream option in Mineral Point. I did find it difficult to get a hold of management to ask for a block of rooms. I left a message and didn't hear back, then I called 4 times during regular 8-5 business hours and there was never anyone available. Finally, when I did get a hold of someone, they really made me feel second-rate because I was calling to reserve rooms, not to reserve both rooms and a banquet hall. The woman I talked to had a conversation with a coworker about this while I was on the phone, and I could hear everything they were saying, which wasn't exactly customer friendly. I requested all non-smoking rooms, and they made me feel like that request was a huge inconvenience. I have stayed here before and I felt that it was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

It did not have an elevator. We were in a non smoking room but the smoke from the rooms across the hall seeped into our room. There were no computer for guests to use. The location was fine. The telephones were out because of a lightning strike. The person at the front desk allowed me to use her cell phone to call for food delivery.

It was nice and the pool was good. The breakfast was real good.

The TV did not work. It kept turning off when the channel got above seventy.

I was surprised there wasn't an elevator. I had to carry the luggage up the stairs. The complimentary breakfast was extensive and of very good quality.
