Guess it is what it is.
I've spent maybe 3 weeks here thus far in 08 but will be moving. I am a contractor and really like the brand but this one is a bad reflection. As mentioned by others, there seems to be plumbing issues and I've only stomped my first bug today.
It is convenient as the permit office is just behind it as well as a Home Depot. The rates are reasonable and it seems to be in a secure area. All good for me and perhaps why I have tolerated it.
There have been several days that no coffee nor towels were left in the room but stay in motels long enough and you'll expect such from time to time.
I wouldn't bring my family here but it was ok for me ... but Executive it ain't. They are remodeling which could be good for the future.
I have had 2 nights listening to dogs bark.
It was tolerable until this afternoon. I like staying in the chain because of the general value, cleanliness and availability ( locations). I also like the fridge/microwave usually present as burgers get old. This particular motel has a sign in the lobby that states that all rooms have both. My room ( home for the week) did not. I asked 3 times today and was told that one would be moved in. The 4th time was with the 2nd shift .... and I was told that I would have to change rooms.
I went to do this but when I looked at the microwave ( unplug, move, plug in) and then looked at packing ( I had moved in for the week ... clothes in drawers, toothbrush/razor/shampoo out, 2 laptops unpacked, food in fridge, loaf bread/crackers etc...) I had to go back and ask again ... can't I just move the microwave?
"No, we can not move one out of a room and into another."
Why not I ask.
"Because then the sheet will be wrong." and he hands me a sheet that has room #s and "M" for microwave and "F" or "R" for fridge ... mine showed both ... so I said that it already appears to be wrong already.
He reiterated that it could not be moved.
I asked him if he thought it would be easier for me to spend 30 minutes packing, moving and unpacking than unplugging one appliance, moving it and marking through the "M" on the unused ( which would mean 2 dirty rooms) room ... he reiterated that the only way was for me to move.
I then pointed out the sign in the lobby stating that "all" rooms had "both" ... which, again, got me the "You'll have to move."
Eh, it may seem trivial but when you live on the road supporting your family and tolerate issues with your "home for the week", inconsiderate attitudes such as this don't always sit well .. sad but I came unglued.
If I have to pack up and move, then I'll fully move elsewhere. And this was towards someone that they knew ( this would have been my 4th week here with 1-3 rooms)???
So my reveiw is mainly tolerable, reasonable rates, good location but not somewhere that I would bring my family ... and it isn't executive as I know executive.
Some good points, some bad ... I'm moving.
