My lady stayed in this place and said she hated it, but we tried to get a place up the road and all the rooms were booked. It must have been because everyone else knew about this place, because it's Feb. 20th and nothing special is going on here. This is by far the LOUDEST hotel I've stayed in, which includes venues in Santa Cruz and Las Vegas. Outside noise is absolutely intolerable, and because of the neighborhood this place is in you can expect to hear loud engines, tires screeching, and horns honking all night (I did.)
In at least two rooms (the one I stayed in this time, and the one she stayed in last time) the beds were busted. We got a non-smoking King room and the bed was both way too hard AND it was busted so that it sank towards the middle. The room had a refrigerator, which is a piece of junk that cycled every ten minutes, all night.
The only reason this place doesn't get a 1 from me is that there are up sides to the location as well; it's relatively easy to find and it's close to a lot of food - that is, if you like mexican, chinese, or a burger. Otherwise you'll have to range far afield to find food. I'm not kidding when I say there's about fifty restaurants on this road and about 48 of them fall into one of the above categories.
One last note, high tension power lines run directly across the property (we parked almost beneath them and our room is very close to our parking space or vice versa.) If this offends you for any reason, it's just another reason to stay far away from this place.

The staff was excellent, courteous, competent and friendly. The complimentary breakfast provided was of very good quality with varied offerings. The room was comfortable.
The room was reasonably appointed with a comfortable bed.
I am very likely
to return to the Days Inn Concord.
I might recommend it to friends.

The hotel was very confused about the dates we were staying there. I thought I had cleared up the problem when I checked in and yet in the middle of my stay one of the clerks seemed surprised and asked if we were staying an extra night. It didn't leave me with much confidence in their staff. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. The bagels were stale and at one point there were no knives available and we told the front desk and the man there said they're right there. As though we were just not seeing them right in front of our faces. Then he actually came over to show us that they were there and discovered they were not. He never did get any for us that day. I never asked again.
It really brought home why I was saving money by staying there. You get what you pay for.

This hotel is a class act. It's clean, and the staff is friendly, polite and helpful. My 'after-stay' experience with billing and other administrative issues very positive. We stayed at over 50 hotels in less than 100 days through California and Ari
You get what you pay for I guess. We thought that this was a great deal at $89.99 a night and booked three nights. Won't do that again! Told reservations that we needed 2 downstairs rooms as 2 members of the party were disabled and unable to...
