The Comfort Inn Downtown is a great choice for family vacations and business travelers. Overlooking the Mississippi River and Mud Island River Park, this Memphis hotel is located in historical downtown on the trolley line. The FedEx Forum, the Memphis Cook Convention Center, Beale Street and Peabody Place are also close by. Easy access to Interstate 40 and Interstate 55 make Graceland, Libertyland, the Memphis Zoo, Autozone Park, Pyramid Arena and Mississippi's casinos easy to reach. There are a variety of restaurants and cocktail lounges nearby, and a short walk takes visitors to some of the best of Memphis BBQ and Blues. There is also an authentic Greek restaurant, O'Kypos, located on the premises. Local area restaurants include the Butcher Shop, Rendezvous, and the Pier. Local lounges include B.B. Kings, Club 152, Hard Rock Cafe, and Pat O'Brien's. Business travelers will appreciate modern conveniences like free high-speed Internet access in the Business Center, free high-speed Internet access in all rooms and access to copy and fax services. The spacious meeting facility is just right for family reunions, business presentations and social gatherings. The hotel features spectacular views of the Mississippi River with spacious guest rooms. In addition to standard amenities, guest rooms offer coffee makers, irons and ironing boards.

35 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business
The location of the hotel was out of the way in terms of being close to restaurants and nightlife in the city. Security appeared to be an issue. The advertised workout facility was extremely inadequate, having only stationary bikes. Also, the free internet access in the lobby for business travelers offered no privacy as it was in the open where all could see. The hotel did not seem to be very accommodating for business travelers.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Comfort Inn Downtown.
I would not recommend it to friends.
