Comfort Inn Downtown Cleveland Hotel - Page 2

The hotel was a basic hotel that was comfortable. The staff was professional but not personal. The hotel is being renovated and was not as clean as one expects.

I liked the hotel's convenient downtown location. It's low-budget in every way. And it attracts low-budget customers.

The windows were filthy; I could not see out of them. The room had an odor. The bathroom was not clean, it needs to be updated. But the service was fine and the staff was friendly. However, I would not recommend this hotel.

When the toilet was flushed it overflowed onto the floor. I called the front desk and the phone rang for about a minute before anyone picked up. Meanwhile my wife reached behind the overflowing toilet to shut off the water. I informed the front desk about the problem and they sent someone up. The toilet was plunged, and subsequently worked properly. The maintenance person also came back a few minutes later with a vacuum to vacuum up the water from the floor. However, the bathroom floor wasn't mopped. Therefore all the urine and toilet water was sucked up, but the germs were left on the toilet and the floor. The desk called up shortly after and asked if everything had been taken care of. I informed them that things were working properly now, but it would be nice if the floor could be sanitized. The reply was that the housekeeping staff was gone for the day. There also was no other rooms that we could be moved to.

Staffing was inadequate - they were not very customer friendly or oriented. The guest room needed maintenance, we had to switch to a smaller room. The hotel's location was good, though.

Comfort Inn Downtown was pretty grubby; they had just the basic accommodations, even by budget inn standards.

We reserved a room with a jacuzzi bath. The jacuzzi was broken and began spraying water all over the bathroom. At the front desk, staff made comments to suggest that they were aware of this problem before we even checked in. Comfort Inn Downtown in general was filthy and rundown. After arriving in our room, the maintenance staff arrived to switch several light bulbs and lamps in the room that weren't functional! The staff didn't seem to care at all about our problems, and we were not compensated for our trouble at all. We ended up cutting our trip short and staying only one night. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone -- ever.

This hotel made me feel secure: Door locks to rooms, security at desk.

This hotel made me feel pampered: Because of room problems, I was upgraded to a room with a Jacuzzi.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The room was a suite--more spacious than I planned, with room to spread out. There was also a Jacuzzi tub.

There was a problem with the room was originally assigned so my reservation was upgraded.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I was recognized as having been there previously and as being expected due to reservation.
