45 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
This hotel is an old Double Tree property that Choice has purchased and is now renovating. The facility has an indoor pool and spa in the atrium with a work-out center. Meeting rooms and business center are also here including the bar and restaurant. A hot breakfast is served at 6:00 AM with eggs and a breakfast meat and the usual fare is available. The thing that amazed me the most was the speed of the hotel's maintenance staff. My bathroom flooded due to a bad shower curtain, so I called the front desk asking for help. A staff member showed up at my door with an armful of towels and told me that it would be fixed the next day and it was. Later in the week, I was getting ice from an ice machine and the front of it fell off. I called the desk and in 15 minutes three engineers were there to fix it. The furniture and paint are worn and I believe that they are spending money refurbishing rooms as they go. I was in the "old section" so go figure. I also thought that it was strange that the facility had a restaurant, but no room service.
