35 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I know hotel rooms are traditionally supposed to be dirty even though they have a cleaning person go through daily.
However this was unacceptable. We reserved a king-bed room and didn't get there until 10:30 at night. Because it was that late it didn't seem like a big deal that there was only 1 king room left.
But when we got to the room my wife went to the bathroom and the toilet seat was up and the toilet had some hair and urine on it. I would have complained but there were supposedly no other king bed rooms and we had to get up at 4 am to leave for our flight.

Check in was quick. The rooms were clean, beds fairly firm.
Bathroom was clean. Good restaurant (The Rose) attached to hotel through basement walkway. We had various seafood dishes for dinner the night we were there and they were well prepared. N

The hotel staff was so very pleasant - from the shuttle driver, to the front desk staff to the restaurant staff. Yes, there is a little bit of a strange smell when you first walk into the lobby. But everything looked very clean in the lobby. ...
