Excellent
female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Recently Stayed at the comfort Inn- It was so close to the subways - i think we lucked out by choosing this hotel - we were in manhattan in 5 minutes.. the staff was extremely helpful and gave us directions to all different tourist destinations by subway and also printed directions for our way back...would definitely recommend for anybody who wants to visit manhattan and not pay the crazy prices

Good
30 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This hotel is fantastic for the price. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and the rooms were clean if small - but you're not in NYC to stay in a hotel. The location is great: one block from the Queensborough station on the 7 train, and we got to Times Square in about 10 minutes. Plus, our cab fare was less than $20. The neighborhood is ugly, but we never felt uncomfortable. I would recommend it although the neighborhood might keep me from bringing my children.

Good
35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business

This was clean. Close to N line (1 block). I got a two person jacuzzi room for $150 October 30, 2007. It is $200 this week, but still worth it. They have plasma tvs. Free continental breakfast.

Bad part: Only 1 diner close by. I had to take N train to 36/Broadway to eat. Its close, like 1 or 2 exits.

5 star staff and service – Posted Apr 09, 2007

Excellent
23 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I loved the location and the price. Compared to Manhattan, the prices are much, much lower, and the service and rooms much better. In fact, although commuting into Manhattan, it took me less time to get to my destination.

The staff was friendly and helped me so much that I felt compelled to give them a big tip, which they respectfully did not accept as it was just in their nature to help.

The lady at the breakfast area turned on the TV, and her radio by the water cooler too early and too loud and never greeted us, but the weekend lady was nice, she had a friendly smile.

Besides that one detail, I absolutely loved the place, stayed there for 5 nights with my family, and would stay again and again.

Excellent
26 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business

I travel often for business and leisure, but I do have a budget and time constraints. I need to save money, but not sacrifice commuting time. This is the perfect place to stay.

It took me 10 minutes to get to work, and I saved approximately 75-100 dollars a day, compared to Manhattan. I have been to a few other hotels in the area but have not been satisfied with them. La Quinta, HoJo, Super 8, Holiday Inn on/around Queens Blvd don’t have quite as convenient of a location, amenities or courteous staff.

Best kept secret in New York – Posted Jan 09, 2007

Excellent
37 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business

Now that I have found this hotel there is no way I'm going to stay anywhere else.

The trains are so close to the hotel, I can sleep late and get into Manhattan in less than 15 minutes, it's unbelievable.

The breakfast is great. The staff is very knowledgeable about the area and printed the directions for me when I was leaving.

It is a very clean hotel!

Excellent

It’s in an industrial neighborhood with the cheapest municipal parking rates in New York. It’s only five minutes to Manhattan. They have really clean rooms and a helpful staff. I will definitely stay here again if there are rooms available.

Do not stay here! – Posted Jul 26, 2006

Horrible
42 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel is in the midst of junkyards and warehouses, which is why my Mercedes was broken into as I parked it in front of the hotel overnight, and my laptop was stolen. The very rude receptionist told me it would be safe. There are homeless people, prostitutes, and drug intoxicated individuals right down the block of the hotel. In the daytime, the front desk rings you in and out and after dark they add a guard at the door. You do not feel very secure at all staying at this hotel. I felt more like I was in a prison than a hotel. When asked if we could leave luggage we were told “Yes”, but the charge was $10 for the first bag and $5 for the others. What kind of hotel charges to hold your bags for a few hours? All in all they are not very hospitable. At $126 I could have stayed at a 4 star hotel in Manhattan.
