The hotel has some nice features - the lobby and restaurant area is very nice, as is the sports bar. The rooms have luxurious furnishings but are just a little small.
It was very clean and the staff from the front desk to the gift shop clerks, along with the restaurant manager and bartenders were very pleasant and friendly.
I did notice some of the areas around the pool and parking garage that looked worn and old but they were minor.

I greatly enjoyed my stay, especially as I had a complimentary suite. The rooms are all quite pleasant and the lobby area amenities provide a nice selection of food and beverage. For lunch sometime, one should hit the little Indian fast food place that is just around the corner.
The suite was particularly pleasant and the downstairs bar was very cozy, well appointed and well staffed.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Columbia Marriott.

Excellent
We were in Columbia for a nephew's wedding and his parents reserved rooms and held their reception here. From the moment we pulled into the unloading area it was nothing but incredible service! Everything was immaculate, the food in the restaurant...

The brand new beds and sheets were a great value for the price.
The beds were clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast area was clean and the food was sufficient. I did not use the restaurant, however, it looked clean and welcoming.

This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Columbia, a few blocks from Gervais Street. It has an excellent location. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Room service is only available until midnight, which is unfortunate.
The aesthetics of the room was great. I really enjoyed the new Marriott bedding, which was perfect for a peaceful weekend.
