35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The Colten Motel is a great place to be if you are wanting to be at the center of it all. For what this hotel lack's in five star amenities it more than makes up for it with it's staff. They are friendly and very quick to respond to any problems and concerns. The Mangier " Andrew " makes it worth while. He cares about the hotel and it's guests. It is a five star hotel in our book.

30 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
This hotel was very comfy and clean. It was in walking distance to most of the major attractions. Also the manager is very welcoming and nice. He has some wonderful stories to share and even offered to show me around gettysburg. I would definitely recommend the colton.

Stayed at the Colton for one night and was extremely satisfied. Rooms are nothing fancy and furniture is old, but very clean. Rooms were small and cozy. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is old and needs updating, but is clean. Nice size tv's are in rooms. Best part of stay was meeting the manager. He is the nicest guy you ever want to meet. Extremely hospitable and made you feel at home. He definately has some great stories to tell and showed us amazing ghost pictures. This motel is very basic and isn't fancy, but its clean and comfortable. The staff alone will make you want to return. Thanks for everything!! We will be back!

Stayed at the Colton Motel for one night. If your looking for a basic place to stay this is it. I found it very clean and the pool and grounds well maintained. It is located where you can walk to attractions and restaurants. The manager couldn't be any friendlier and was very informative for any questions you needed answered. I definetly recommened the Colton Motel and would stay there again.
63 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This is the second year we stayed at the Colton Motel. The room was very adequate for our five-member family, and coupled with an outdoor swimming pool, suited our every need. The cost per night was lower than the other hotels and motels on Steinwehr Avenue which is within walking distance of most attractions. The manager, on both occasions, was very friendly and hospitable and made our stay in Gettysburg a pleasant experience to remember. This year we experienced car trouble and he went out of his way to get us the required help, even to the point of offering his own time to fulfill our needs to get on the road again. This rare dedication to the welfare of the guests will compel us to return on future occasions and we highly recommend this motel to others.

The hotel is centrally located, inexpensive, with a friendly staff.
The hotel is located next to a National Cemetery and the manager has a great respect for the history of the area. The hotel was not flashy or tacky and it fit in well with the surroundings.
I am very likely
to return to the Colton Motel Gettysburg.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We have stayed in Gettysburg 3-4 times per year for the last 5 years and the majority of our stays have been at the Colton. If you are looking for fancy accommodations than maybe the Colton is not for you. If you are looking for a no frills affordable, clean, quiet room with friendly service than the Colton is what you are looking for.
The Colton is in the heart of Gettysburg with many restaurants and shops within walking distance and everywhere else is just a short drive. The manager has always made us feel like we were home; he could not be nicer or more informative. If you have a problem or request he will do everything possible to accommodate you.
Before we found the Colton we had stayed at other low cost motels in GB and we never went back to them. Now the Colton is our first choice.
