50 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed 4 nights here at the Colon and enjoyed every minute of it. Barcelona is a large city and it was great to be so central to the most popular locations such as La Rambla, the beach (& cruise ship dock) and the Gothic Quarter. There are 3 restaurants in the square and many more within walking distance.
The hotel is in the middle of a Barrio free of traffic which allows the locals and the tourists to congregate in the square in front of the hotel and the Barcelona Cathedral. In the evening we sat on our balcony and watched musicians and street entertainment, and on Saturday we watched 10 pm Mass outside the Cathedral.
Our room was large, very clean and lovely; and the private bath included a bidet and double sinks. I would definitely stay there again.
