Good
We booked about 2 days before we checked in and got a nice view of the neighboring bulidings fire escape, the valet takes a little long, but thats just a tiny disappointment. Security is great, you need your key card to move the elavators. All...
pros: Good fitness centerWe are forced to stay here when in Chicago for trainings for my employer. This is one of the dirtiest, rundown hotels in the area and the rate is comprable. There are no irons/ironing boards in the rooms, you have to get...

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, the only way I can describe it is completely intolerable.
Where can I start with the horridness of this hotel...
Let's start with the room itself:
-It was ridiculously small.
-Bed was very small and uncomfortable.
-The bathroom didn't lock.
-The shower curtain didn't do anything.
-The fold out couch was ugly, the springs poked through the matress, so we put the matress from a rollaway bed on it, and they still poked through. Also it was unstable and dangerous to sleep on.
-When pulled out, it spanned the width of the room, making the room impossible to navigate.
-The TV constantly went fuzzy, and we had to fidget with the cable. The volume on the TV was also very quiet and didn't go above halfway.
-No exhaust fan in bathroom.
-Only supplied with one set of towels.
-We were desperate enough to sleep in the bathtub, but then realized there wasn't one.
Broken Promises:
-We were promised the room would accomodate 4 people, and later were informed 4 people would break fire code.
-Promised an upgrade, which we were not informed that we would have to pay for until check in.
-Rude and confrontational reservationist.
-Promised extra blankets and pillows, but the hotel ran out. (How does a hotel run out of Pillows?) They also didn't even bother to call and tell us that they weren't coming.
-After complaining, we were promised a larger room for our second night, which never happened.
Elevators:
-Only two elevators, which meant we sometimes waited 10 minutes or more, one was even set to service to haul rubbish.
-Keys sometimes worked, sometimes didn't.
General Hotel Problems:
-Incompetant staff.
-Parking was down the street.
-We would have loved to order room service, but with no space in the room to put it.
-A so-called suite consisted of only one room.
Good things:
-They supplied us with free bottles of water (YAY!!)
-The desk was remarkably comfortable to sleep under (which we should not have resorted to in the first place)

Good
My fiance and I stayed here for a night after driving 11 hours from Maryland in one day. The room was small, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for directions and someplace to get Chicago style pizza....

Mediocre
This hotel seems to have air conditioning problems. It happened to be very warm outside yet the air condition wasn't working. When I called the desk they told me the "chiller wasn't working." Huh? I asked when this would be rectified but didn't get...

This is a nice hotel with a nice location.
I enjoyed the Italian restaurant in this hotel. Try their pizza; it is fantastic and is recommended by Charlie Trotter, Chicago celebrity chef.
The rooms are small but since I am single, I didn't care.
The biggest complaint I have is the parking..it sux. The garage that the hotel recommends is a block away from the hotel. There is a garage right next to the hotel, but the discount rate apparently doesn't apply.
