Best described as "budget-chic." Conveniently located off Farragut North and Farragut West Metro stops. It's within walking distance to the White House and other DC sites. The room is comfortable, yet simple. The decor is clean-lined and ideal for the business traveler - a spacious desk for a laptop and free WiFi. A few business self-help books were in the room, too (to browse if you need a change from the DC visitor information).
The queen-sized bed was great for snuggling into with the soft duvet and down-like pillows. The in-room fan made the evening a bit noisy, but tolerable. The faciliites were extremely clean and lighting in the bathroom was bright.
Being a road warrior, I'm a bit jaded and few things "wow" me. However, the cool think about check-in and check-out here is that it's self-automated. You swipe your credit card in an ATM-like machine and out pops your room key. Check-out is just as easy.
I am very likely to return to the Club Quarters Philadelphia. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
