Club Intrawest Palm Desert is a great site. These are casitas (mini homes) more than anything else. Units are well equipped with a full kitchen and a well laid out two bedroom plan. The other thing that is nice is that there is a very large patio area which is great for the awesome Palm Desert evenings.
The site itself worked well for us. They have an on-site theatre where they show just out of theater movies. In addition, you can book the theatre for free and watch a movie of your choice. We had fun with this and booked it two times and ended up making some good friends with kids the same age.
They have two or three pools, one main one that is large w/a host of outdoor recreations items (BB on a soft court), pool hoops, etc. They also have a game area.
They do not have a spa, but they do have a massage area. It's a bit odd as far as set up and they really need to do something regarding restrooms where the massages are given.
We did not use it but understand that there is one of the best public golf courses in the nation that runs through the grounds.
This is a great place to stay when you know you want to eat some meals in; need to do laundry and are in town for more than a few days. We will definitely book again.
They really need to do something with the parking lot lighting at night. It was way too dark and felt a bit unsafe.
