Although the hotel is quaint looking, the amenities are nothing as described. The management is horrid. There is a disco attached to the front of the hotel and another one right next door that play extremely loud music until 2:00 am. There is no swimming pool. The hot tub is open all night. We were woken up at 4:00 am by people talking in the tub. The so called free high-speed internet is a public service which has such a weak signal that no one can connect. The atrium smelled musky and that was where they held the free "healthy" continental breakfast which consisted of packaged sweet rolls, white bagels or toast, some fructose sweetened yogurt, bananas, apples but no fruit juice. The price is way too much for this place and I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. We were also told we were getting a discounted rate for the conference we were attending but it seems they were lying!
According to the reviews I see already posted, the quality of this place must have really plummeted in the last year.
They certainly didn't offer any eggs for breakfast and the wine was cheap and no cheese or crackers to be found.

44 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I had called this hotel to book two rooms for the 4th of July weekend. While speaking to the front desk clerk, Therese, I noticed that you could also book a room online for less money than she quoted me over the phone. When I asked her if she would book us the rooms for the internet price, she said no, just book them online, so I did. I booked two rooms, received a confirmation number as well as my credit card number being on the list of information thanking us for our reservation. There was also a "guarentee policy" at the time of booking by a valid credit card. Therefore one would believe if the credit card information was accepted (which it was) that we were good to go. The rooms were booked on June 29th, a week in advance. When we arrived on July 4th, we handed Therese our printed confirmation sheets for her to turn around and state that she didn't have a reservation for us. When I asked her why not, as we both have Confirmation numbers she starred blankly at us and said "I don't know but we only have 1 room available" I said that this was unacceptable, That we have confirmation numbers, etc. She said that there was nothing she could do about it, but she could call around town and see if there is anything else available. By this time everyone in our party was very frustrated, we did not we did not want to have to pay a last minute hotel fee when we knew this hotel had given away our rooms because we booked them at a lower rate. When we asked to talk to the Manager, we were told that he was "unreachable" but would be available tomorrow. How convenient for them. What kind of hotel does not have a Manager in place on a holiday weekend? I will tell you, a hotel that is deceiving, untruthfil and unprofessional. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect nor have I seen a customer service level so below par. We all left this hotel and drove back home. Our 4th of July holiday was ruined but the fine folks at the Clocktower Hotel could have cared less. It is sad to say, but my trust in internet reservations is gone, and being in the customer service field myself, if the folks at the Clocktower Hotel don't start treating customers correctly, they might not be in business much longer.
