We love coming to the Cliffhouse, we have been spending our Anniversary here for the past fifteen years. I enjoy the quietness and the restaurant is superb.

We have been coming here for eight years, while the rooms are not exceptional, they get the job done. The view from the suites is amazing. I have always enjoyed the food and service at the Shoals restaurant. There is nothing more relaxing then enjoying the view in one of the many loungers overlooking the ocean. We will continue to visit our favorite place.

The view is awesome, but the actual motel is lacking. I have stayed twice (it is a family member's favorite), but I would not stay there if I didn't have too. I have heard that restaurant has great food. You can get to the beach easily, if you know the way. If you are on a budget, and want a fantastic view, this is for you. But if you want above average accommodations - keep looking.

Good
We had a wonderful time here. The breakfasts by the ocean with the dolphins and wave was great. The rooms were small and dated but the service and food was outstanding. We will be back in the future.

The rooms are showing some age, but if you pay extra for the better rooms with floor to ceiling glass, its gorgeous. Dinner is excellent, good wine selection; waitress can be good or fair. All in all, considering price and view, I love this place.

This Inn has false advertising. Their web site says "200 feet of private beach". While it does sit right on the water, there is no access to the "beach" which only exists for a minute or two during the lowest tide. The walkway/balconies lean dangerously in disrepair towards the water. The phone didn't work, the heater didn't work, the TV remote didn't work, we got 10 out of 58 channels advertised, there was no place to get a drink or coffee in between lunch and dinner, no ice bucket, no coffee maker, and the staff was way too well trained in fielding complaints. This place is a very overpriced DUMP!

Excellent
I love this hotel! I could not get over the view and the sounds of the ocean. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing. It's just a short drive from Santa Barbara and Ventura. Love this...
