I have stayed here several times and I am always amazed by the fact that the staff here never changes. You see so many turnovers at hotels, but the staff is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely concerned about the pleasure of your stay. They have even started to know who I am when I come in and I'm only there five or six times a year.
They have made some improvements: New carpet is very soft and feels good on your feet; the room I always request has a new A/C and TV. They have also expanded their breakfast last year.
One thing I suggested was some more cable channels and they added Fox News, Speed Channel, National Geographic, FX, Cartoon Network (which would be great for families) and some more of ESPN's offerings. I also suggested that they find a way to make their internet friendlier for VPN's. Usually I have to dial up at a hotel to get it to work, but now they have a VPN specific interface. I will continue to stay at this hotel since they continually reinvest in their property and their staff and care about their guests. Clarion illustrates a great business model and great way to run a hotel!
