The person cleaning my room discarded my personal items although I was not scheduled to check out.

not likely
to return to the Clarion Inn and Suites Austin.

It was difficult to find and get back to once I passed it on the frontage road. I did not see the motel sign at street level. The receptionist was very helpful in helping me find a shorter way back. Also, I was allowed to stay past check out time in order to attend a meeting before packing into the car in the heat of the day.
This hotel made me feel welcome: The front desk personnel were kind.
