54 year old woman with a moderate budget

The staff were very accommodating. The motel is being renovated, so there are a lot of contractors about during the day. It's very quiet at night. Our room was dark (not yet renovated) but very spacious (it was a suite) with a fridge, microwave, stove and sink.

Breakfast choices were out of this world--biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, heatable omelets, bagels, donuts, oranges, apples, coffee, juices--and more. Has a laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers, somewhat unkempt at the time of our visit, but very usable and convenient. This motel "rescued" us by finding us a room when we found our other Gillette motel to be unpleasant, loud and to have lax smoking rules (they allowed smoking in non-smoking rooms and the smoke filled the halls and filtered into our room at night).

My husband and I would definitely like to stay at the Clarion again next year. Very near to many restaurants of all types as well as Walmart and Kmart and other chains. Deserves a 10, but we chose 9 due to the current contract work being a little inconvenient for some folks at the moment.

61 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The carpet was dirty, a picture had been removed from the wall, ceiling tiles in the bathroom were dirty looking and full of holes, a carpet tack stuck my wife and me, the water in the shower turned hot and burned my wife ( I was not running water), the noise from the atruim was loud even after the pool had closed, wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off, and the room seemed dark with the lights all on.

I had a nice clean room, and the hotel is under renovation. There's no A/C in the rooms, it was very hot, and I brought it to the general manager's attention. No follow through by the general manager, but the front desk was apologetic and professional. I will be in this hotel for 3 months do you think the manager could get out from behind her desk and face her customers!

45 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I was at a convention stay at the Clarion. Breakfast had lots of choices, even low carb items, and the rooms were very neat and clean. The Bootleggers restaurant was fun, they had great meals and nice bartenders. The front desk helped me out with supplies as I forgot one of my bags at home. Thanks for a great stay!

The front desk staff was very friendly. The food in the roaring 20's bar was very good. The best Italian food I have had in a long time. The wait staff and bar staff were right on top! Our room was cold, I called the desk and they took care of it right away. I will be back on my way through Gillette.
