Rude manager, wrong room

55 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The room that we had reserved (and confirmed twice) was not available when we arrived. The desk staff and the assistant manager were rude and unwilling to help. Clarion's satisfaction guarantee didn't mean anything. The room was disappointing. However, the service staff were friendly and polite.

quaint cottage atmosphere. Quaint, cozy rooms. Cont.breakfast is delivered to your room at the time you choose. Friendly server.

The property has a great location though the rooms and the elevator are old. It is clean and well maintained however, with very friendly staff.
This hotel made me feel welcome: The kindness of front desk staff and willingness to take the time to answer all questions and follow up to make sure everything was ok with the room. They really seemed to be trying hard to let me know they appreciated the business.
