I was extremely disappointed in both the service and especially the rooms.

The rooms are totally outdated, the beds are terrible to sleep on, hard as a rock, the blankets were literally ripped and are not warm, the room curtains fell on me when I was trying to close them, old and need replacing. The screen literally fell outward as I was trying to open it.

The front desk staff terrible. Two of the women were totally rude and unfriendly upon my arrival. Not a smile through my stay, very unprofessional and totally careless about their job. I have never seen a smile from anyone there, starting with the cleaning crew all the way to the front desk. This is terrible business and I can now see why the rates are what they are. You get what you pay for and that is bad service. Also, in the morning for breakfast, the Asian lady that works there need to relax. She is extremely annoying, constantly bothering you, although she may think she's been nice she is annoying, takes your plate when you are not done, 100 times she asks if everything is OK. I know she starves for tips, but I tell you because of her annoyance, I never once tipped her. She need to understand that people are there to relax and she is not a waitress, she also needs to stop telling people about her hard work at the hotel and with her daughter's son and how hard she works and so on and so on, I heard it every day for my 4 days there. One fool bought her story and gave her quite a big tip for it. I find that repulsive and uncalled for in a business place.

I would not recommend this place to a friend or anyone else and I will not consider coming back.

What is there to say?

Simply find a different place to stay. Service was absolutely terrible. Staff was very unfriendly except for a young man at night I believe his name was Brett. He was very polite and very nice.

The rooms I understand were recently carpeted. The smell was awful, I had to sleep with my window open even though it was cold. The bed was terrible.

I also feel that someone soon will eventually get electricuted with the wires hanging out everywhere on the floor, a call to the fire dept and I believe this place would be in great trouble.

Everything in the room needs a makeover not just the carpet. The doors to the closet for example, hard to open, the kitchen I asked for, the garbage disposal does not worked, when I asked to please have it fixed, another unfriendly person at your place came in, but couldn't fix it. It was left that way until I left and no one seemed to care about it.

Your place left me with a very bad experience, one that I should not care to go through again. Nor should I suggest your place to anyone.

Smile is contagious, rudeness however and carelessness for your guest is not.

The room was run-down, breakfast was never delivered, and the hotel manager was a complete jerk. The rooms appear to be a good deal, but don't be fooled -- the bad experience is not worth your money saved.

I stayed at this hotel for a combination work/personal trip 2 weeks ago and I will never go back. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself is fine, but the customer service was outrageously. The manager who was working when I was there was uncooperative, agitated and, unobliging.

I don't make a habit of leaving bad reviews at hotels/restaurants, but the service during my stay was abysmal.

Finally, given the service I received, the price was phenomenally high.

I really like this hotel and the hotel staff is excellent. They got me a nicer room than I originally had reserved because it was available. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The furnishings are a bit tired and there were a few stains on the carpet was my only complaint. The computer in the office for guests, with a printer, was a real asset. I've stayed in this hotel many times and I recommend it to friends and associates, who have thanked me and also felt the hotel was nice. I make this the only hotel I stay at in San Diego. It was originally recommended by the staff at UC San Diego Thorton hospital for a conference I set up. They did a superb job then, and I've stayed there ever since. I'm a happy customer. The staff is so friendly they make you feel like part of the family.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It had a nice ocean view and a quiet, comfortable room. The staff works hard to make me feel at home. I can't remember the name of the staff person who is the best. He's a young fellow who is just wonderfully friendly and helpful.
